Poker Gaming Guide
Poker is played against other players; the casino provides the forum for you to have an exciting time whether you are an experienced player or just beginning. At Rivers you will feel welcome and comfortable in our safe and smoke free Poker room.
Rivers offers a wide variety of poker games including but not limited to Texas Hold’em, Omaha-High, Omaha-High-Low Split Eight or Better, Seven Card Stud-High, Seven Card Stud-Low, Seven Card Stud High-Low Split and Seven Card Stud-High-Low Split eight or Better.
Our management team ensures the highest standards of integrity and fair play. The games, limits and rake (house commission) are clearly posted in the Poker Room.
RANKING OF HANDS: A poker hand consists of the best five cards ranked from highest to lowest according to the following list.
Royal Flush | An ace-high straight flush. |
Straight Flush | Five cards of the same suit in sequence. |
Four of a Kind | Four cards of the same rank. |
Full House | Three cards of the same rank and two cards of the same rank. |
Flush | Five cards of the same suit. |
Straight | Five cards in sequence. |
Three of a Kind | Three cards of the same rank. |
Two Pair | Two cards of the same rank and two other cards of the same rank. |
One Pair | Two cards of the same rank. |
High Card | The highest ranking card in the hand. |
3 Card Poker is fun, fast paced and easy to learn. Each player and the dealer receive three cards. They object of the game is to make the highest poker hand with your cards. There is a minimum bet of $10, and wagers must be made in increments of $5.

3-Card Poker Betting Guide
WAGERS: Bet on the Ante to play against the dealer. Bet the Pair Plus Wager to play against the posted payout chart. Bet the Ante and the Pair Plus to play both against the dealer and the posted payout chart. Bet the Ante and 6-Card Bonus to play both against the dealer and the posted pay chart. Bet the Ante, Pair Plus and the 6-Card Bonus to play against the dealer and posted pay charts. Bet the Play Wager after a player reviews their hand and wants to continue in the game.
ACTION: Each player and the dealer are dealt 3-cards. Players with an Ante or Ante and Pair Plus will either: Fold and forfeit their Ante (and Pair Plus if both wagered). Place a Play bet equal to their Ante. Ante and Play bets are playing against the dealer’s hand. Dealer plays with queen high or better. The Play bet is only paid if the dealer qualifies.

ANTE BONUS: A player placing an Ante Wager and a Play Wager shall be paid an Ante Bonus if the player’s hand is:
Mini Royal – 10 to 1
Straight Flush – 5 to 1
3-of-a-Kind – 4 to 1
Straight – 1 to 1
If the customer qualifies, this is paid and is not in competition against the dealer.

PAIR PLUS: This wager allows the player to bet the ranked value of their hand against the posted pay chart and is not in competition against the dealer.

RANKING OF THE HANDS: Straight ranks higher than Flush; Three of a Kind ranks higher than Straight.

6-CARD BONUS: This wager allows the player to bet on combining their 3 cards with the dealer’s 3 cards to make a 5-Card poker hand. The bet is paid against the posted pay chart and is not in competition against the dealer.

GENERAL RULES: Ace is always high except in 3-2-A sequence. When comparing two hands that are of identical poker hand rank, the hand that contains the highest ranking card shall be considered the highest ranking hand.
