Grosvenor Casinos has revealed its full schedule for 2018, including details of the 12th season of the Grosvenor UK Poker Tour (GUKPT), the Goliath, the ever-popular 25/25 Series and the UK Student Poker Championships.

2018 GUKPT
The 2017 GUKPT featured 10 legs and saw £3,698,255 awarded throughout the year. This coming season’s schedule is reduced by one leg with GUKPT Walsall being removed from the calendar, otherwise it’s almost a carbon copy of last year’s events.
The Poker Room at the Grosvenor Casino Victoria in London will be packed to the rafters from Jan. 28 for the first leg of the 2018 GUKPT. A £1,100 buy-in Main Event with a £200,000 guarantee is the highlight of that particular stop.
From London, the tour heads to Manchester, north of the border to Edinburgh, Reading, back to London for a £560 buy-in tournament with a £100,000 guarantee, Leeds, Luton, the superb Blackpool stop and then rounding out the year with a £2,140 Grand Final with a whopping £400,000 guaranteed prize pool.

Goliath Returns With £100,000 Guaranteed For First-Place
The Goliath continued to grow during 2017 when 6,385 entries were processed to give the tournament the title of the biggest live poker tournament held outside of the United States of America. The 2018 edition could swell further after Grosvenor Casinos announced it is to guarantee the eventual champion will win at least £100,000 for their £125 investment.
You’ll need to keep Jul. 26-Aug. 5 free if you want to play in the 2018 Goliath. The event takes place at the Grosvenor Casino inside the Ricoh Arena in Coventry. Hotels in the surrounding area usually sell out fast, so act now if you want to stay near the venue because the 2018 Goliath is likely to break more records.
25/25 Series Heads to 30 Locations
Grosvenor’s 25/25 Series gives players the chance to play in a well-structured tournament for a relatively low buy-in. Costing £225 to enter and featuring £25,000 guaranteed prize pools, the 2017 series visited 34 locations and saw a combined 9,917 players battle it out for £1,983,000.
The 2018 25/25 Series heads to 30 casinos from Jan. 11 through to Dec. 9 with stops planned up and down the country. Rest assured, there is likely to be a 25/25 Series at a casino local to you at some point in the year.
2018 Student Poker Championships
Stock up on Pot Noodles and cheap cider from Apr. 4-8 because the Grosvenor Casinos UK Student Poker Championship takes place at the Grosvenor Casino Coventry in the Ricoh Arena.
A wide range of events are scheduled so expect to see six-max, Win the Button, bounty and Omaha tournaments being played. The Main Event is a £37 buy-in affair that should be well-attended.
David Welsford is the reigning champion having outlasted a field of 917 in the 2017 UKSPC Main Event to get his hands on £6,420.
